EMF-828 Triaxial ELF EMF Meter

The EMF-828 is a tri-axial gaussmeter. This meter can measure the x, y and z axes independently (but does NOT calculate the total field as some triaxial meters do - this can easily be done manually however). This meter has a frequency range of 30Hz to 300Hz - this includes EMF from overhead powerlines, household or office wiring and appliances such as vacuum cleaners and washing machines. Features include data hold and choice of units. The separate probe and capability of reading up to 2mT make it particularly suitable for measuring large fields; nevertheless it can also measure fields down to 0.01 uT.

Chronic exposure to EMFs (electromagnetic fields) has been linked by some studies to health issues such as childhood leukaemia, cancers, depression, disturbed sleep and electrical hypersensitivity.

NOTE: The meters supplied by EMF UK are manufacturer calibrated and are suitable for general use. Customers who wish to use our meters for certain types of formal testing, for example occupational EMF assessment to meet the needs of the UK HSE or EU EMF Directives, will most likely need to arrange for certification of individual units at an approved calibration facility. This type of certification is a common requirement  for many types of test equipment, not just EMF meters.
